Covid changed our way of working; where we work from and if we even need get to travel to get to work. Most studies reveal that most employees prefer working from home and not commuting in to work. In fact, some workers moved away from the city that their employer/job  was located.

I have a hard time seeing public transit returning to precovid ridership levels for a long, long, long time...if ever. Behaviour  patterns have changed and it will be a challenge getting people back on the bus without big incentives like $1 rides or free busing.

Hope our municipal transit operators figure it out, but to say that ridership levels won't influence transit, I have to 100% disagree.
