RE:Export OpportunityI recall reading in CIBC's weekly lumber updates recently that inventory levels at European ports (along with Japan's port) are at high levels. I'm sure once those levels decrease, North American exports will increase to make up for the Russian lumber, which would be good for N.A. producers. F Russia and Ilim Timber. They'll probably sell logs to China who will process it to lumber and try to pass off as their own lumber. The transportation costs would be high getting it to Europe or N.A. though so it wouldn't make much sense, but then Russia needs the money so they'll sell at dirt cheap prices.
