The first thing I noticed
When reading the NR we see a quote from the acquired company, "I am very happy to be a part of the Datametrex family.". He sounds like a one man show with just an idea. How can this idea be worth $10 million? I drive an electric car and can tell you that in the populated areas of southern Ontario range anxiety is rapidly disappearing. Every service Center along Highway 401 now has rapid chargers. Many Canadian Tire stores now have rapid chargers. Petro Canada has a coast to coast charging network. In remote areas there are not enough electric cars to support anything but a government funded charging network. Lack of cars means lack of customers. It looks like they will launch roving charging trucks (several - ha ha). Have they checked the price of gas or diesel to run those trucks. An EV driver would have to be very stupid or very desperate to pay what it will cost to charge from those trucks when a normal fast charge on the 401 might cost $12 and charging at home might cost $9.00. It seems that they want to also sell condo buildings on installing chargers. I hope they know that there are a number of companies already in this business and they have the software to manage the process. I'm just so disappointed that they went in this direction - paying a small fortune for just an idea with no current revenue. By the way do they realize the newest EVs have a range in the 500 km range and this will only improve. So much for range anxiety! Not much chance of making a profit.
