Home health care services added 9,000 jobs in June”Home health care services added 9,000 jobs in June, a bounce back from a drop of nearly 4,000 jobs the previous month, according to preliminary estimates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)

Overall, health care added nearly 57,000 jobs in June. Hospitals reported adding 20,500 jobs and nursing and residential care facilities reported 8,000 new jobs.

Home health care services employed 1,563,500 in June, up from 1,554,500 reported in May. 

Home health care services surpassed February 2020 totals in March and now stands at nearly 1% over the home health numbers prior to the pandemic (1,548,500). Employment in healthcare overall is below its February 2020 level by 1.1%, according to the BLS.”
