to use their savings to enhance their living standards.

I can't live off the paltry couple of percent interest rates the banks offer being retired
now for many years so have sought out investing as a way to increase my income.

The thing that bothers me is how the potential of this country has been shackled by
left leaning politicians who snub their noses at our resources which could pay and then some for all their social programs but have no problem endlessly borrowing and wracking up $trillions of debt.  Its insanity to the nth degree.

We are all concerned about climate change but transitioning to a renewable energy
world will take years. I agree with all you've said but I'd like to point out that this "transition" will take decades not years..!! Which makes what these morons have done even more ridiculous..!! In the meantime we need to use fossil fuels in the most efficient
and sensible manner to bridge us over to that future time.  These morons want to
cut the cord without thinking of the consequences and have sold a bill of goods which
is faulty.   They have stoked the publics fear and have co-opted them into their thinking
through effective media messaging but as we all know,  freezing winters and broiling
summers are wating to wreak havoc on our energy grids in a brutal manner and without
fail.
