Tax Plan Action Item

Tax Plan Action ItemI will be transferring my 'worthless' Trevali shares from my RRSP to my investment account before year-end (I have some Trevali shares in my investment account also).

The Trevali losses in my RRSP have "no value" as I cannot apply these losses against any gains within the RRSP for any "tax benefit".  As the Trevali shares are suspended from tradiing on the TSX until the October 3, 2022 at which time the shares become delisted,
it is almost impossible to sell Trevali shares at all (with management's surprise 'creditor protection' annoucement, shareholders were left literally with no options to dispose of their shares). In effect, the shares are worthless and as such, I will be transferring all the shares from the RRSP to the investment account for $1 (there will be a 10% withholding tax applied also - just more salt to rub into the Trevali inflicted wound).  What I will do with the Trevali shares at this point remains undecided!!!
