RE:Cathie Wood is really pisssed at the FEDThanks for posting this video Obscure.
What I found interesting is that Cathie seems to have reached the same conclusion that I have been posting about for a while now - a big storm is coming - but has reached that conclusion from a different perspective and in some case using logic that I don't agree with.
I think the key thing here is that when you have two experienced people looking at a situation from very different perspectives and reach the same conclusion then the chances of that outcome being what happens increases dramatically. This is in sharp contrast to two people reaching the same conclusion from the same perspective.
While I could probably write an essay on the differences between some of what Cathie said and my views having been there during that time in the late 60s the 70s and early 80s, it really doesn't matter when the conclusion is the same.
The key thing as far as I am concerned is answering the simple question - "What do I do about it?"
The answer to this question depends a lot on your particular financial situation and tolerance to risk and investment knowledge and experience. My best advice to anyone reading my posts and this one in particular is to take the time to come up with a plan. Do it soon and then stick to it. Take the emotion out of it or you will make some big mistakes.
In terms of a simple analogy - think of a dam which holds back water. In both cases, the 1970s that Cathie is talking about and the last 15 years or so since the financial crisis started in 2008 ( I would argue that it started before that but people didn't know it), Central Bank and Government fiscal policy was designed to hold back the natural force of the water coming down the river to the dam. So what happened was that they had to keep making the dam higher to hold back the additional water. We are now approaching the stage just like in 1981 where it is no longer possible to build the dam higher and there is a good chance that the natural force of the water behind exceeds the tensil strength of the dam and will cause the dam to break flooding the valley below resulting in widepsread destruction.
