Canadian city not buying Canadian ,tough pill to swallow DARN , I was watching out for this one keenly , hoping Calgary, would select Gatekeeper, however I cannot even get any verification (our one man show sales team ) was even active in the bid process. Maybe I dont even want to know at this point .----- Calgary , and other mid sized ''affluent cities in N/A' , expanding in size with aggressive transit plans ,is precisely where the contract opportunities will be . Dyment thinks he will score big in a huge city: (head case dreaming as the company goes under) . The transit industry is (very tough). As we know from Septa, and in calling around, once a transit authority has contracted with a provider ,investing millions and millions, it is very UNCOMMON to change suppliers, as all video companies are bringing on new products to meet the transit upgrades as required . Calgary was one of only a few cities in N/A meeting the opportunity, (1) Growing with many oil/gas head offices, (2) Affluent financially as compared with 95 % of N/A cities ,(3) In the process of aggressive transit plans, AND most importantly (4) Looking for a new video/monitoring provider. There is likely only a handfull of cities in all of N/A fitting these datapoints. 'Just another tough one to loose as the nail slips just a wee touch further toward the coffin.
