Electra Battery Materials Corporation is a Canada-based processor of low-carbon, ethically sourced battery materials. The Company is focused on building a supply of cobalt, nickel and recycled battery materials. It is engaged in the business of battery materials refining, including refining material from mining operations and from the recycling of battery scrap and end of life batteries. It owns two main assets: the refinery located in Ontario, Canada and the Iron Creek cobalt-copper project located in Idaho, United States. Its projects include Ontario Refinery, Recycling, Becancour, North American Nickel and Iron Creek. It is in the process of constructing its expanded hydrometallurgical cobalt refinery, assessing the various optimizations and modular growth scenarios for a recycled battery material (known as black mass) program, and exploring and developing its mineral properties. The Iron Creek Project consists of mining patents and exploration claims over an area of 3,300 hectares.

*Todays share price makes the last public offering raise (dilution) look better on a relative basis and the money is in the bank to help bring current projects to fruition. I wonder if management somehow expected/predicted the shares would fall and hence made the offering when they did? If they did, I wonder if they used a blue (or pink) crystal ball?

Today seems either fishy or maybe there's some logical explanation we don't know about, such as:
* Seller(s) got an inheritance and are liquidating it it.
* Seller(s) bought cheap shares a long time ago and need to cash them in quickly without waiting until next year or beyond, due to financial considerations.

Most of ours shares are in retail hands based on research I did today.

Who knows what the truth is and speculating doesn't have much value, but I figured why not share some thoughts. We'll see what the rest of this month brings.
