Its projects include The Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex, The Kipushi Project, The Platreef Project., and The Western Foreland Exploration Project. The Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex project stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, approximately 25 kilometers (km) west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 km west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. The Kipushi mine is adjacent to the town of Kipushi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) approximately 30 km southwest of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. not disputing the fact the RCMP knocked on Ivanhoe's Vancouver door but I put it in persecptive like this:

The RCMP is s federal body and subject to political whims of recent Fed governments in Canada

Optics and drama rule some of the motivation of Federal depts to investigate or not investigate.

For comparison one (1) person appears on the street front of Royal Bank in downtown Vancouver claiming the bank was over stating their going green investment decisions.  This person was filmed and made the CBC supper time news.  Within a couple days the Federal Competition Bureau starts an investigation based on a CBC news clip.

So,  was Ivan right or wrong according to DRC law ?  I do not know

Optics and reality can both be managed.
