But first, one more for Eddybob
But first, one more for EddybobAnalogies seem to be a good way for people of limited understaning to comprehend things that they cannot or actively chose not to see.
What if that huge advocate of ethics and human rights Justin Trudeau proclaimed, 'because we have failed to enshrine Drag Queen Story Time into the Candian Constitution as one of our promised milestones, I am hereby cancelling the general election for Prime Minister'.
Which is actually absurd, not because it is totally illegal (which it is) but because the majority of Canadians are so stupid that when given the choice, they re-elected him.
As JT said after the election when he did things that by any measure are unconstitutional and unethical (which just shows that the constitution is a joke) 'the canadian people elected me to carry out my mandates'.
Then he goes on TV to spew more hypocracy and say that the Chinese people have the right to protest their government while he would not even speak with the truckers convoy protest, freezing bank accounts, calling them racsists, mysogonysts, homophobes, domestic terrorists and involking the emergency measures act, etc...
So just in case you missed the analogy, the AGM is where directors are elected or re-elected.
Cancelling the AGM removes that right which is required by regulation.
It's not just 'a meeting', it is 'the meeting'.
What if the 'fail to meet significant milestones' again in several months?
Cancel it again?
Cancel it until they get some progress?
They are just pushing it down the road.
Capiche?
It's not just people with sour grapes venting when they ask for answers or accountabilty.
It's owners in the company requiring appointed directors to do their jobs.
The CFO leaves and the appoint a guy who forgot to pay his taxes for three years?
That is how they solve the issue of financial controls that are deficient?
The AGM is one of the ways owners in the company can influence the direction of the company by removing incompetant or ineffective management.
Cancelling the AGM's effectively removes any ability for shareholder input which is illegal.
So, it's obvious that the industry regulators have no power, the company has effectively removed the ability for the owners of the company to have any control, the only avenue left is to ask question in public forums to hopefully wake people up and demand accountability.
Or just go on saying how wonderful everything is and wait.
