I'll have to take your word on that one.
There are multiple references of Tehachapi being an extension of the Antelope Valley but I don't have time to review further.
Our pilot just called and will being picking us up within the hour.
Off for holidays and not back till into the New Year.
Enjoy your holidays and Happy New Year to all.
Cheers
Shneps, I think the references you've read indicate the Tehachapi Mountains, not the city of Tehachapi. These mountains border the Antelope Valley in the northwest but they further extend to the northeast (upper side of the triangle shape).
Tehachapi is located in Tehachapi Valley higher up north
within the Tehachapi mountains. The word Tehachapi translated from native language means 'a hard climb'. The four seasons reference comes from the higher elevation of the city.
Here's a topographical map view which will hopefully help clear this up.
You can see the triangular shape of the mountain borders, the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster within the Antelope Valley as well as the location of Tehachapi within the Tehachapi mountains. The large redly shaded area is the Edwards Air Force Base:
Enjoy the flight and your holidays!
