and let's just put into context that the last merchant transaction TD did related to  Corus was participating in the 2018 secondary offering by the Shaw family when they helped place the shres taken on the sale of Shaw to Corus.

Bankers are beholden to you only until the deal is done- then it is clean slate time. So i guess TD would now be going onto clean slate year 5 now with no expectation of any merchant banking transactions being executed by Corus fir at least a few years.

debt to ebitda looks like it may peak around 3.8 times at the spot multiple , though the metric they use is a rolling forward average.
