The Bishop of San Juan de la Maguana , Monsignor Toms Alejo Concepcin , clarified yesterday that there is no division between him and the parish priests of the deep south regarding the mining they want to implement in that area of the country.
A communication signed by the bishop and several priests indicates that the meeting held by them last month, where Monsignor Toms Alejo spoke about the importance of dialogue, shows that there is no difference.
The church, the text refers, always tries to listen and defend the common good, so they can ensure that the Bishop of San Juan and his priests will not support any project that harms the region.
