RE:RE:WHy should NGC take over Mason? Build Bissett Cr insteadThis isn't PM....grade isn't king, flake size is. Rule of thumb is higher the % grade, the smaller the flakes are. Fluke of Nature, jumbo flake has the highest selling value.
Syrah has almost 50% fines...that mostly have no market value, so 1/2 of what you mine is worthless.
Bissett Creek, altho lower grade has a very high % jumbo flake...the money maker. So once graphite is liberated from host rock, processing costs are a lot less at Bissett Cr, mostly what you process can be sold. Not so at other mines that have high % flines.
