Stumbled across this...

Stumbled across this.......while looking at info on Iamgold's year end. I can understand the attraction here, especially as VSR doesn't have to put up any more money at Nellie.

A few weeks ago, I see that poster garland calculated a value for Nellie of $1.74 per share. Also pointed out by Polishprince that this is all a waiting game, waiting for Iamgold to get their house in order. Totally agree. Given the state of financial affairs there, one would think that they are going to need a year of solid operating results at Cote before they're ready to spend substantial amounts on other projects. Maybe they could budget for a pre-feasibility study starting in 2024 but beyond that???

If you're interested in Vanstar, but looking for a little quicker activity schedule, you might look into Troilus. They are coming out with an updated resource estimate within 6 weeks or so, and a full feasibility study late this year. Stock is about 65 cents, and using garland's $70 (Cdn) per ounce methodology, would give you $2.48 per share. That's a very optimistic target but it's nice to dream!

PS: Vanstar is about 50 km sw of Chibouogamau, Troilus about 100 km north. So pretty much right  next door!!!
