Equinor to buy Suncor North Sea assets

Equinor to buy Suncor North Sea assetsStock house , please do not erase. This is not off topic. Rather note the reasons for the purchase -----
Utilization of Suncor's tax losses. Admittedly, they are talking about Britain not Ireland. Yet I see no reason why the two tax regimes would be different in structure !!
For readers here , please note it seems that it has been an unresolved issue amongst ourselves whether VET would be able to use its substantial tax losses to offset the huge windfall taxes imposed by Ireland in particular and less so for the EUR .
