RE:This board is so quiet! Those of us who are still long have found that despite anything we say and no matter what the news the MMs are in total control. I have found this to be the case in many companyies that are very promising but have no revenue, and the promise of revenue in the future is still way off and who have a low volume dailt trade and therefore an easy target for the MM. The fact that the MM is in control itself induce an even lower volume, when longs see no reason to buy if the MM keeps the share price capped. This is very often true of pre-revenue mining explorers and small pre-revenue biotechs. It does not matter that these companird may be very promising as is the case with Marimaca. Good news is always greeted with a short bump (if at all) that just diappears after a few hours of MM low volume manipulation without any significant buying pressure.
The only reason to hold this stock long term is for really big news to hit, that does invite a lot of interest and buying in the meantime, such as a new huge resource estimate or a buy out or partnership or for a bio an FDA approbal etc. Intermediate good news just gets sold back down by the MMs and does not hold longer term. It is obly good for a quick trade if you are nimble which is hard to do (even with a crystal bowl) if there is no volume. Don't misunderstand me, long term Marimaca will pay very well when the right news finally comes.
In the old days intermediate good news meant something and the better prosoect meant a climbing share price that held based on future expectations. Over the last decase or so, the MMs have destroyed this value and the stock market with it for small prerevenue cos, and keep it for themselves. Small fry need not play in the meanwhile in response to intermediate good news, unless you are willing to hold until major news.
