Electra Battery Materials Corporation is a Canada-based processor of low-carbon, ethically sourced battery materials. The Company is focused on building a supply of cobalt, nickel and recycled battery materials. It is engaged in the business of battery materials refining, including refining material from mining operations and from the recycling of battery scrap and end of life batteries. It owns two main assets: the refinery located in Ontario, Canada and the Iron Creek cobalt-copper project located in Idaho, United States. Its projects include Ontario Refinery, Recycling, Becancour, North American Nickel and Iron Creek. It is in the process of constructing its expanded hydrometallurgical cobalt refinery, assessing the various optimizations and modular growth scenarios for a recycled battery material (known as black mass) program, and exploring and developing its mineral properties. The Iron Creek Project consists of mining patents and exploration claims over an area of 3,300 hectares.

RE:In the absence of cash or meaningful near term revenues…NatureBoy I agree with you 100%.  There is no incentive especially long term incentive by offering a stock incentive that can only be exercised when you leave, whenever that is and for what ever reason.  Such an abuse of the shareholder.  
To me this move is setting up Trents leaving.  If not too bad becasue I for one would wellcome his moving on.  As far as I am concerned he has accomplished nothing but a lot of talk, delays, and most importantly a very significant and unessesary drop in share price.  Hardly worth a golden handshake but we live in interesting times.
If in the future any stock I hold will have nothing to do with Trent or the WOKE BS nonsense policy they put front and center.  Look at the web site and there it is "whistle blower hotline".  If they had their priorities in order they would not have wasted time on the WOKE policy nonsense and focussed on getting the refinery running.  Shows what their priorities are and what they dont have the ability to do.
