Idiots

IdiotsThere' a lot of blame to go around re the banking crises.   The collapse of SVB is at the end of the day a symptom of lack of  lack of regulation and oversight.  It certainly was compounded and tipped over the edge by a weak and inexperienced BOD.  For any bank manager to express openly to the public that they need to raise cash, a lot
of cash is akin to yelling fire in a crowded theatre.  That started a panic and so many
of the big depositers in Silicon Valley started to pull their money out subsequently
causing a bank run.  If anyone thinks that any American bank has enough cash on
hand to withstand this kind of run on their deposits,  better think again.  This is at the heart of the lack of confidence in the system.   Trump and several Democrats voted
to relax the rules for smaller banks in order for them to compete and this is the result,
mass fear and contagion.   The idiots in charge just never learn.
