Some of these miners

Some of these minersare making money and building cash and finding gold...my uncle was a geologist and he always said check the companies reserves...for every ounce of gold or silver they produce they have to find at least one ounce to replace those produces ounces....otherwise they go out of business....that is why barrick, newmont and others are either drilling on their properties or looking for companies in good districts having the gold....that is why I like IAU....it will continue to find gold, silver and other metals and it will be bought out....I just hope it is at a premium or a bidding war....
I tend to agree with metalhead but I think for a number of these better run miners there are opportunities to make money on trades...I do worry that the miners are severly lagging the metals...and worry a vaccum exists on the downside if there is no giddiup soon
