It is a significant sponsor of two real estate investment trusts (REITs): Morguard REIT, a closed-end Trust with a diversified portfolio of Canadian commercial real estate assets; and Morguard North American Residential REIT, an open-end Trust with a diversified portfolio of multi-suite residential assets across North America.

You absolutely correct...MRC is practically eating their lunch, one bite at a time. Short sellers are usually very strategic. The last time i looked on yahoo finance there was still 1.6 million short, down from over 2 million last year.

Not sure what they have been seeing. The last years financial results and cash flow was decent.
