RE:RE:comments from 5i researchSorry, specific, I didn't mean to aim my comment at you in anyway.
I hope you didn't take offence.
I didn't have time earlier to add to my comment about the Harper government MPMO heady days.
At the time, the feds made a big stink about getting development projects moving, but in the end and even to this day, many of those ~2008-2012 projects never went ahead.
Whether or not MPMO was set up and development projects "prioritised" by the feds, a lot of those project, many promoted by the government, went nowhere and are still floundring.
The Feds can only do so much (or the reverse as well, ie. they can only "gate keep" so much.)
Canada is known as a mining friendly jurisdiction for good reasons.
The simplistic solution of "gate keepers" applied by Poilievre across all his policies is idiotic.
Economic issue? Gatekeepers! Mining development? Gatekeepers! There is no policy, but a lot of one trick pony.
Whatever the person asking the question thought would be different with a Poilievre government offering this simplistic gate keeper policy is deluded at best, and whatever Polievre has on offer right now is not even on par with the Harper resource development strategy, which wasn't exactly a big success.
