RE: I have a dream......Under normal circumstances a company would need to enter a phase of maturity and stable growth generating excess cash to pay out dividends. Normally before a company achieves that phase of dividend payments, a fast growth company generating strong revenues will normally give their shareholders a stock split during it's fast growth phase.
However, depending on the structure of the deal LABS and Pfizer agree to, any exchange ratio of Pfizer stock for LABS stock would result in the immediate existence of a divident payment. One share of Pfizer paid out a dividend of $.41 U.S. on March 3, 2023.
