COPPER + MOLYBDENUM HISTORICALS - Copper and molybdenum are reported to occur in three zones on the JW and Jean claims.
The three zones are reported to grade from 0.3 to 0.4 per cent copper equivalent (Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Volume 15, Table 1, Deposit No. 98).
The zones are 150 by 500 metres to 260 by 800 metres in area. Continental Energy Corporation (formerly Continental Copper Corp.) drilled a 186-metre interval graded 0.38 per cent copper and 0.009 per cent molybdenum (Exploration in BC 1997, page 29) in 1997.
The company reports a "probable resource" of
27,000,000 tonnes of 0.3 per cent copper
and 0.015 per cent molybdenum in the A and B zones
and a further
27,000,000 tonnes of 0.11 per cent copper
and 0.017 per cent molybdenum in the C zone
(resource calculation likely from 1970's drilling)

Performed a bit of reserch last eve on the - Jean Claims.
- junior is running away to ofast to other nearby staked cliams.
- it is my beleif the copper / moly is associated to - volcanics
- quartz breccia = come from faults with in the = volcanics
- copper and moly are still in other stockwork other than, quartz
- older reports reveal - unidentified silicate pyroxine mineral
- heavily altered silicate - color change extreme heat
- this pyroxine was originally labelled - RED with in the quartz
- later... it was labelled BROWN clinochlore -
- THEY COULDN'T IDENTIFY IT
So... i went off researching - molybdenum -
- Moly is a silicate mineral
- runs in monzonite
- runs in lead
- older Jean reports = spikes of Moly = spikes of Lead
- definite correlation.
- came across a research report on( sulphide ) Moly
- it can change color to ( red ) = chlorite alteration.
- chlorite is present in Jean - geology.
- additionaly - i cross referenced ( garnets )
- garnets kept showing themselves in Jean reports
- i questioned -
could the garnets be alteration fo moly ?
- red and brown are close colorations -
- not inconcievable to think - moly with extreme heat
found in the quartz - altered to - garnets - red moly ,
confused as - red pyoxine.
- also - moly has strong ties to - pyrite.
pyrite can absorb the moly and alter it - pyrite sponges it.
something to do with the - moly's attraction to sulphur.
HIDES in the sulphur of, pyrite.
SUM IT UP ?
- older reports obtained far higher moly grades.
- were their assaying methods - better ?
- well... i read one of the reports -
- 70 % cores recived ICP MS ( far better detection )
- 30 % cores recieved only ICP ( basic assaying )
ISSUE ?
- fire assaying is also mentioned
- issues could arise on several fronts
FIRE ASSAYING
1 - moly hides in lead - closely associated
- if gold suddenly comes on scene ( not prior )
- and if a junior decides to check for gold
- fire assay will come into play
- fire assaying uses - lead -as flux
- if moly is present in lead - there's goes the moly values
- chisselled away and discarded while seekingthe gold prill
PYROXINE ALTERATION
2 - if Moly is present and has potentially altered to a
brown . red silicate
and petrographic studies of prior years could not identify
this red / brown pyroxine
there could be a good chance it was - moly -
labs most likely don't have a - pyroxine moly with in machine
most likely calibrate the machine using - refined metal alloy moly
pyroxine moly would go - undetected.
GARNET MOLYBDENUM
3 - Yes... there is lots on this subject.
Even visuals on google images.
Red moly garnets in, granites.
i figure... there could be a good chance the red garnets
and brown pyroxines could be - altered moly.
in older reports - it speaks of section of quartz that are
all red. ( hello ) moly hides in the quartz monzonite
extreme volcanic heat the quartz and alter the moly to red.
they labell it - unidentified - pyroxine - clinochlore or, garnets.
ASSAYIG
4 - should division the lead
- division the quartz monzonite
- divsion the red/brown pyroxines
- division red quartz
- division garnets
- perform different assaying to accommodate each of
the potential metaphoring of - moly
- no fire assaying - especially if lead is used as a cuplet flux
- ICP MS - LONGER DIGESTION TIMES
- could result in better moly detection
- or.... have lab swap out sample in machin with
garnet moly - pyroxine moly - different forms of moly
to better detect diff species of moly

Notice how it's in the ( VOLCANICS ) FAULT SEAMS
Historical drills are all over this...
I don't think the PLUTONICS have the grades.
Diff geology.
I figure hte volcanics has its own - Quartz below
that spawned from the volcanics .
offering up... copper, moly, nickel, gold, silver, cobalt etc....
Black dotted lines - hypothetical faults. even sediments.... thick sediments...
over time will separate as the land shifts..
revealing the - deep seated faults.
hence.. faint silt sediment lines on terrain mode
could be clues of where these faults align.
Stepping inside the fault lines - volcanics
i would say... would fair better.
aside of the long linear line ( strike path )
by former explorers.
shorter faults seen to the west...
inside these faults would create a better concentration
of - quasi - faults below = more mineralization.
A quick assessment.
Need the historical drills plotted.
Would love to see then reassay historical drills
Mindful of the - Moly morphs
bring historical - resources - upto CIM standards
THEY'D THEN HAVE = INFERRED RESOURCE -
And... they still performed 2 good intercepts.
Ironically... those holes were close to the - shorter
faults west side...
I'd veer from the east side - knowing far more silts hit this zone.
even tohugh - larger fault appears to be seen.
I'd stick with the - shorter faults.
far more chance of... fault chaos below grade.
i'd get back to the drawing board on - Jean.
Still lots more work could be done.
Too much down time with soil sampling vs hit the
historical drill zones.. work westerly
in between the smaller faults.
the northern resource is in this - smaller fault zone.
there are several of therse zones seen on map.
