RE:Comments from a poster who spoke to management today Good update on Fathom Nickel. I suspect they didn't hit anything significant at Albert Lake due to us not hearing any chatter on how things were going on that property. It is a great property with very high metal values which must have come from a much larger magmatic event deeper in the earth's crust. I just feel it will take a lot more work on that property as opposed to the Gochager property where a significant discovery has already been made. But hey I would love to get a pleasant surprise on the exploration work at Albert Lake.
Why the market isn't showing Fathom Nickel more love on the Gochager discovery is beyond me. Perhaps it is because it has a historical resource of lower grade nickel but as Quinton pointed out in his presentation the higher grade nickel usually settles to the bottom well below the lower grade disseminated mineralization. So the drilling back in the 60's and the little bit of drilling since could have easily missed the higher grade nickel deeper down. Modern day geophysics is so much better now.
I'm thinking they Fathom Nickel are getting close to making a major discovery but of course much more work is necessary before confirmation is made of an economic resource. And yes assays can tell you so much more than visuals without a doubt. Especially with cobalt and PGE's. Buying FNI at these cheap valuations seems like a no brainer to me. Yes it is riskier than some of the more advanced nickel projects with companies like Canada Nickel or Magna Mining but the reward could be absolutely huge with Fathom Nickel. A lot of blue sky potential with FNI.
