Thoughts on latest PRI noticed a few things in today's press release that I believe support some previous thoughts I have had in relation to what I believe is the endgame for Laurion, that it is being positioned as an add-on acquisition to the Greenstone Mine.
Note the subtle change in the opening paragraph from previous PRs
The Ishkoday Project is located in northwestern Ontario, 56 kilometres west of Geraldton, and just 10 kilometres north of the Trans-Canada highway No. 11 along Provincial Road 801.
Previous releases would position the Ishkoday north of Beardmore. Geraldton is where the Greenstone Mine is currently being built and going into production next year, The objective of ore sorting is to reduce handling costs and increase gold grades of ore sent for processing.
If Laurion can pioneer and put in place an efficient way to pre-process the mineral extraction, it would seem a natural fit for Equinox/Orion as they have already expended the time and financial considerations in setting up a processing plant 56 km away.
I was a little surprised that there is no mention of the drilling campaign, but one could argue that may be a positive as well.
