RE:Before Or After the Recession

RE:Before Or After the RecessionThe optomist in me wants to think it will happen before, but with that being said from the eyes of a suitor looking to finance a deal would be better down the road because of high interest rates. With LME only being bought in an all cash deal there are very few companies with that kind of cash just lying around so more likely trhan not a suitor may need to aquire financing to complete the deal. Interest rates are high in order to slow inflation and in turn the economy, once we see a gradual or sharp "crash" then the government wil lower the interest rates so we can all buy a second house and stimulate the economy again.1-2% savings on financing in a potenitally multi-billion deal would be huge. This is all part of a market cycle and right now we are standing on the edge of the abyss. With that being said, LME is making strong strides forward and buyer may find themselves in a place of urgency in the coming months prior to an economic collapse of sorts. Only time will tell.
