Stockchase After the Close The trading week began much like recent sessions with market searching for direction either way. The TSX shed only a few points to close 0.08% lower. Sectors were mixed as energy rallied, but financials and tech lagged.

The picture was just as mixed on Wall Street with the S&P closing Monday up 0.09%, the Nasdaq -0.29%, and the Dow 0.2%. Key movers included First Republic Bank, popping 12.2% during the session, but falling after reporting after hours.
