Taken from a comment on the TENET investors fb page:

There's some shareholders holding onto nostalgia more than anything. "JJ built the business in China. He's got the relationships." Yes, but how would you rate his performance on the delivery? How would you rate his performance in the last two years? Continually missed deadlines, poor communication, shady practices and flat out broken promises. You don't think he personally damaged key reputations and relationships? It's not just about the thing he delivered, but his performance track record. Honestly I think for anyone of us working a regular job, we'd be put on PIP so fast if we performed like him at our jobs. In my mind, there's no obvious good or obvious bad about this. The company rid themselves of a CEO stacking on his bad reputation. Yes, they're going to need to rebuild because of the damage caused by the company politics turmoil (caused by gossip more than facts), but they have the products there to build on. It's tangible and operating. Let's see how they perform now going forward after this rough patch.
