Wow, Big Purchase Announced!"The U.S. Department of Energy said on Monday it will purchase 3 million barrels of crude oil for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for delivery in August, and asked that offers be submitted by May 31."

Thats that, about 1,.5% of what they drew out of there?
Equates to about 3.5 hrs of daily US consumption of oil if it needed to be drawn.


EIA uses product supplied to represent U.S. petroleum consumption. In 2022, the United States consumed an average of about 20.28 million barrels of petroleum per day, or a total of about 7.4 billion barrels of petroleum.
