RE Debt Ceiling Talks

RE Debt Ceiling TalksMore disturbing news showing up on this front.

Trump who still has a sgnificant hold over the GOP is insisting that McCarthy hold
out for all the GOP demands in the debt ceiling talks.

This hardened position which means no compromise will be acceptable to the GOP
puts McCarthy in an impossible position.

This is exactly what Experience has mentioned about extremists having control over
the party.   The art of the deal authored by Trump is fine in the corporate world but
downright dangerous when applied to handling of the financial well being of the whole
nation.

To have a civil society we all have to accept a level of compromise.  The other
alternative is either war,  chaos and ultimately a loss of freedom.  Its basic stuff.
Without compromise and co-operation for the betterment of all,  the loss will be far
greater than any gain.   I find it disturbing that so many people cannot or will not
try to understand this.   We all have our opinions and we all want to have our say
but at the end of the day if there are disagreements you have only 2 choices.  Either
compromise and move on or fight to the bitter end and everyone is the loser.
