First flight since covid...Just returned from the US on an AC flight. Smooth as silk, plane was full. Saw a total of zero masks and maybe a total of 4 over the entire 2 weeks. Overall, travel cost is way up... flight, food, drinks, hotels, tours, etc... all expensive and for us Canucks we take an extra kick in the teeth due to the exchange. But, I met many fellow Canadians while there and everywhere was packed.
In the last year, the market has had to endure the first war in Europe since WWII, 40 year high inflation, the fastest rate cycle increase ever, a near collapse of US regional banks (now over) and a near default on US debt (also now over). And, just like covid ended, the war in Europe in end, rates will soon pause and inflation continues to come down.
Some will choose to live in the past and wallow in fear and doubt. Unfortunate for them because the future is better today than it was 2 years ago. C'est la vie.
