Hint - its all aboutt he geography....not about the grade.

In my opinion

thats where the big guys Blew it...

Thomas, being a Scientific Geologist, new the chalcocite sitting in this Geography, 

was worth Billions just sitting on surface,. and the Plumbing net work below which created this surface landscape,had to have alot of back pressure in-order to push 50 pounds of copper straight up the pipe,..
