RE:QTR results last week of June Good or bad?

RE:QTR results last week of June Good or bad?

Anyone who decides to sell based on the results of one quarter or a few quarters is gambling. Speculation is when you think you can flip a stock for a few months. Investing on the other hand entails having a long term view and understanding that companies across all sectors go through business cycles and that selling in the middle of recessionary fears is not the best move. Imagine someone deciding to set up a lemonade stand in the heart of the Canadian winter?

The best time to buy is when people are fearful and paralyzed by the short term they can't see farther than a few quarters. All companies from all sectors start to trim cost when they enter a recession and that is just standard operating procedure. If one looks at the long term performance of Corus they can see that the business is relatively stable through the years despite the seasonal volatility.
