Generally, speaking cold weather mines are more difficult for many reasons such as difficulty keeping equipment from freezing up! That said, they have been successfully cold weather mining for some 50 years. The thing you seem to be forgetting the precipitation is much less in keno than say Fraser or PG. In fact snowfall can be 5 to 10 times worse. As can the rainfall. Mining trucks and other equipment do not like precipitation whether it is freezing up or mudding up. Just something for thought.
