While FLYHT has the proven technology to stream black box data in real time via satellite or other means when available, that can determine for itself that this needs doing - this seems to be on the back burner now. One could cite the relaxed mandates requiring such an ability and the decision of airframers to go with deployable FDRs.
So, if the multi-million dollar plane you are on (and its invaluable passengers and personnel, and cargo) is (are) in trouble, over an ocean or jungle or mountain range or Pole perhaps, your deployable FDR will report to the powers that be that your plane is in trouble as soon as it can be sensed (or not), giving them the ability to intervene (or not).
Feel secure knowing that your plane's deployable FDR will get safely lobbed off the plane before it crashes (or not).
Investigators will have the data as soon as they can find it (or not), because the ELT is working and is within range (or not). And as soon as they can get their hands on it (or not).
They will be analyzing the secure data (or not) as soon as they get it back to the lab.
They should know before a crash (or not) or immediately after-the-fact (or not) what happened.
