As we wrote in the INK June Top 30 Energy Report published today, insiders remain positioned for brighter days ahead in the oil patch. Stronger commodity prices would certainly help the INK Canadian Insider (CIN) Index. Dragged down by exposure to both energy and precious metals stocks, the INK CIN Index dropped 3.92% over the past week, leaving it down 2.43% year-to-date. The Index leaders over the past week were Hammond Power Solutions (Sunny; HPS), up 6.1%, ARC Resources (Sunny; ARX), up 3.6%, and West Fraser Timber (Sunny; WFG), up 2.0%. The laggards were Spartan Delta (Cloudy; SDE), down 68.9% (following corporate actions), IAMGold (Mostly Sunny; IMG), down 12.8%, and Frontera Energy (Sunny; FEC), down 12.7%.
