With a mini 0.25 MW torch, the only way to prevent NOx was to use...CO2 as plasma gas ! lol
As far the  hybrit, as a result of this 4-5 years old comparative study, the conclusion was that H2 was clearly the solution of choice...because any way H2 being  the only way to get rid of C in the obsolete conv blast furnace, the steel industry is moving for hydrogen technology. 
Funny, Vale and AArceloralso reached the same conclusion!
