Technical analysis is an influential aspect of stock analysis.
That's why every big Canadian bank employs Technical Analysts.
It is quite often particularly iinfluential precisely in the absence of any other catalysts such as news items that you seemed to infer are the only things that will move the stock.
As for batting zero, I don't think that's necessarily fair.
I posted on Tuesday that I believed that $2.25 had now become a support level, and it's never traded there since.
I know it's only been a few days, but I really don't think it will close below there again before moving to new highs.
Maybe if it doesn't you'll reverse your stance, but I don't really care.
On another note I don't hesitate to give credit where its due.
That was a very astute and undeniably true observation you made about the dating on the press release and the activity in the stock prior to the news.
I don't think anyone else noticed it.
I know I didn't.
