Which direction is the CAD$ going? It’s weird. It’s like the only part of the market that pays a tangible and actually quite tasty, shareholder return is least popular. Suncor is growing through stock buybacks and acquisition has a solid, likely growing, dividend and gives exposure to oil gains .Yet the investing public think it’s better to buy revenue flat NFLX?
I suppose everyone is a chart technician only nowadays.
I’m just surprised more people don’t understand when you buy a high valuation company with no tangible shareholder return all you have is the confidence that the crowd continue to agree to buy and sell essentially nothing at very high prices with everything depending on revenue grown only. Contrast the despised Suncor which gives tangible returns in the form of buybacks, dividends and good possibilities of production growth too. Every three months we shareholders own more of the company (buybacks) and also get a divy.
Go figure?
Which direction is the CAD$ going?
