There is another, more common with small caps, class of sleazy posters. Some call them bash&buy. Shorting is extremely risky with stocks like TCF. It could double and wipe out shorty in a single overnight, or over weekend, announcement. What's more common are the day traders and quick flippers that spread FUD, Fear,Uncertainty,Doubt with the hope the stock will trade down a whole penny, or at least hit the bid side. Just as annoying, tedious, boring, but the more we see, the more interested weasel buyers are swirling around.
