RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The oil column is very thickI value the discussion! We shouldn't forget that not FirstGirl or FishnChips said this.
It was Patrick Pouyann, the CEO of Total Energies.

He is 60 years old and
told analysts that: "My focus at the moment is Namibia. My priority is to see Namibia come through."
This tells me, that there is some urgency to get the orange Basin developed. I believe this guy more than other leaders in this industry. At the beginning P
ouyann was very cautious about Venus. Obviously he changed his mind and I
think that he did this based on facts and figures.

In the last year they talked about - if I remember this right -  around15 Bn Dollar development cost for Venus and 1 Mio Barrel production per day. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
Translated into Africa Oil (6,2% share of the project): 930 Mio Bn development cost.
Production of 62K barrel per day which would be over 22 Mio per year which translates into addtl. revenue of 1,76 Bn. $ ( I took an oil prices of 80$)
Don't take if for granted. I remember the figures as good as I can. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark the webpages.
