A group of NATO aircraft followed civilian cargo ships from Israel, Greece and one with a Turkish-Georgian registration as they headed for the port of Izmail in Ukraine. It is reported by Forbes .
It is assumed that the ships will load grain there, and then return to the Black Sea and then leave for foreign ports. According to the publication, the Israeli ship AMS1, as well as the Greek ship SAHIN 2, sailed north from the Bosphorus, and the Turkish-Georgian Yilmaz Kaptan sailed from northern Turkey.
They were reportedly followed by at least four NATO combat aircraft: a Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS electronic intelligence and targeting aircraft, a US Air Force RQ-4B Global Hawk drone with the call sign FORTE12 and a Boeing E-3A early warning aircraft Sentry ("Sentry") with the call sign NATO011.
Earlier it became known that against the backdrop of the termination of the NATO grain deal, a decision was made to strengthen intelligence in the Black Sea. NATO expressed its position in a statement made following the results of the NATO-Ukraine Council that the alliance and its members will expand surveillance and intelligence in the Black Sea region, "including through maritime patrol aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles."https://www.zol.ru/n/3998c
