False Hope.....Don't bite I KNOW that i said i would NOT post again on this board (after the Strath-Pipe deal was announced), but like Arnold luvs to say, "I'll BE back", just this one ocassion, to clarify some VERY "muddy" misdirecting information being spread on here. Because it seems SOME folks are adamant/intent in continuing to propagate a FALSE narrative on this forum to other less informed, less experienced individuals. And are desperately trying to convince not ONLY themselves, but these other unfortunate souls by selling them snake oil fantasies by betting on a scenario which is most likely NOT going to happen here.
This of course, i'm referring to the fact that these folks think another, much BETTER offer is possible via a "White Knight" TO situation. And that this White Knight savior will glady oblige, since the Strathcona offer was lowballed and thereofore is likely and they will come in with a HIGHER offer than what Strathcona has given Pipe holders. So to both clarify the air for good AND convince you folks (for good!) this is NOT likely. going ot happen........i'll just post a FEW hard facts & critical notes for you guys to think about.
First, let me just say that there's no one more disappointed regarding this lowball Strath-Pipe deal than i AND there's no one more "wanting" for that scenario you guys are falsely painting to become a reality......BUT FACTS ARE FACTS.....and there's NO DENYING them. Second, think about the following, "Do you really beleive that Strathcona mgmt are THAT dumb NOT to cover ALL their angles to make 100% certain this deal gets done without a single hitch? So if you're working on the premise that the folks over at Strath ARE NOT stupid, then they have covered all their tracks and bases. Meaning the have BOTH the blessing of Pipe's mgmt/bod AND the major holders, including ALL their crucial votes! Which for those that don't know amounts to almost 60% of the total and they only need 6% more........Think about THAT!
Lastly, contrary to the American O&G sector, the Canadian oil patch does not have that predatory environment like the US and it does condone, nor perpetuate such scenarios like their American counterparts. In other words, NO ONE goes out of their way in the Canadian O&G patch, to mow someone elses grass AFTER an event has taken place. There's a so called "code of conduct" between the mgmt & Ceo's of these Canadian entities that's been in place for some time and that usually does not get breached or broken......90% of the time. They accept it, respect it and move on..........without complication or contraversy. This is why Pipe WILL NOT get a better offer!
As i've been saying for ages on here, the KEYS to the Pipe Kingdom & throne went thought GMT & the Riverstone Star Empire. Especially the latter as they own nearly 40% of Pipe. And in reality, Strath ONLY had to convince, entice & make their case to THEM. Which was very successfully done btw. But it seems more likely Strath was able to get BOTH, Riverstone AND GMT onboard with their plans. EVERYONE else is moot, insiginficant & is of NO concern in the end, whether it's Bison or some other small insitutional holder. The guys over at Strathcona KNEW exactly what they were doing and have probably been planning this out, along with Pipe's VIPS for some time as far back as last year.
So......as i've said the best "outcome" you can hope for is what i stated in my past post on here titled "The Deed is done....Time to move on". As i won't repeat myself here again, those that are interested are welcomed to scroll back & read it on there. I hope this clarfies the "confusion" so many misinformed & not very knowledgeable folks have been spewing on here. You WANT a better offer?......Well.......the only ones that can give it to you (increase it!) is Strath....and i don't see no reason at all or WHY they would.
