The consolidation is shown as 2.6:1 in the news release, (not 2.61).
As a side note, the customary way to describe it would be 1:2.6, not 2.6:1.
The exchange ratio was just used to create a hypothetical new-TAU price. A couple of weeks ago on the BNCH board I speculated the new-TAU price at .60 - .65 based on what old-TAU was selling for at the time. It's just number games.
Fortunately the opening price has surpassed that guess, at least for now. Maybe the combination will continue to exceed the value of its previous parts especially as they're both doing major drilling now.
TAU alone has been as high as 2.80 and BNCH alone as high as 1.50 in past years.
