It owns and manages a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, retail, multi-suite residential and hotel properties in North America. It is a significant sponsor of two real estate investment trusts (REITs): Morguard REIT, a closed-end Trust with a diversified portfolio of Canadian commercial real estate assets; and Morguard North American Residential REIT, an open-end Trust with a diversified portfolio of multi-suite residential assets across North America.

Not sure if MRC can swing the bat at MRT right now. MRC just issued $175 M in unsecured debentures yielding 9.5% to replace maturing ones at 4.4%! They have another $450 M in unsecured debentures coming due in 2024. The shorts don’t seem to be in a rush to cover.
