I think that your thesis is wishful thinking.  If there was a meaningful offer out there the share price would reflect it.  I also think PDL would be buying large if that was the case.  The big dumps and the decling share price most likely indicates the stock is being heavily shorted.   Nobody has faith that the  current management,  who ran this blue chip REIT into the ground, will turn things around.
