Milligan Recap 2Referring to the Mineral Plot Map at the back of Wahl's report, he discusses the mineral patterns of the tourmaline and chlorine grains, with respect to their potential to the source of the gold deposit. I'm not knowledgeable in this field, so I won't even try to decipher what he's talking about. My only comment about it, is that the wide pattern (lines of the metals), suggests that they have come from the north for some distance. Perhaps from the Kerrs Gold Zone of McLaren Resources? 
In reviewing the Golden Chalice's work again, it is clear that the magnetic total field has outlined the magnetic low corridor. Within it, the various magnetic lows are scattered from the NW to the SE of the property. However, the exact locations and their contacts are not well known, for the purpose of a drilling program. For accuracy sake, a re-processing of the magnetic data to render a 2nd vertical derivative should be implemented. One problem that I have, is the extreme narrowness of the quartz veins containing the gold.
As was the case with the Wahl report, there were no VLF anomalies intercepted in the Golden Chalice surveys. That was to be expected!!
In regards to the Golden Chalice IP surveys, again, the anomalies were not outstanding. For the most part, they seemed to be shallow and perhaps are reflecting the conductivity of the overlying overburden. As mentioned in a previous post, this data should be re-interpreted by an experienced geophysicist with good IP knowledge.
I wonder too if the electrode spacing (n) wasn't wide enough, in order to penetrate the overlying conductive overburden, or if too much amperage was being lost in this conductive horizon. Somebody else may have an answer for both these questions.
In September of 2009, Golden Chalice put down 2 drill holes within the RT Minerals property, which were discussed in a previous post, so I won't repeat it again here. What I find interesting is that these holes were drilled in September of 2009, but the IP survey wasn't completed until March 2010. Shortly before the drilling, they ran a ground magnetic survey over the entire grid, indicating that the drilling collar locations may have been based on the magnetics.
By absolute coincidence, a poor, shallow IP trend coincides where the 2 drill holes were put down. Looking at the drill logs, it is difficult to see how the IP survey could have picked up the type of sulphide mineralization, and widths, that were found in these 2 holes, especially with the very conductive overburden. Keep in mind that these mineralized intercepts were also less than a meter in width.
