The Quest for a New CEO It has already been 8 months since the sudden departure of P.Misk. Is Largo’s BoD actively searching for a permanent replacement? Why does it take so long?
It should be noted that Daniel R. Tellechea, Largo’s interim CEO, is 77 years old.
We need strong / reputable new blood to start building back trust with investors. The new CEO must have a free hand to get rid of the following (to say the least):
1) The practice of “overpromise-and-underdeliver”,
2) The “anti-transparency”corporate culture,
3) All executives who do not have skin-in-the-game.
His first order of business is to ensure that the management team is open / honest about the progress of Largo’s business and any challenges / obstacles on the way, and must hold his lieutenants accountable for their actions.
